Pack your tent & sleeping bags for a unique camping experience! Join us for “Field of Sweet Dreams” family fun night and camp out under the stars at Deltaville Ballpark tomorrow night.
During the evening, we'll have all kinds of fun yard games and activities in the outfield, wiffleball games on the infield, music for those who just have to dance and so much more! As the sun goes down, spread out a blanket as we will have fire pits and movie night so bring your S’mores kits. We will offer a hot dog, chips and drink dinner which is included in the event registration. The concession stand will be open and have additional drinks, snacks, and food items for sale. As much as we'd like you to, you don't have to camp over night to enjoy the fun. For those camping out overnight in the outfield, bring your tent or just throw down a blanket and camp out under the stars. For the young astronomers in the group, the dark skies over the ballpark make for good viewing. In the morning, a pancake breakfast with a side and drink will be available for an additional purchase. Tickets for the event are just $5 per person, payable at the gate, if possible please bring exact cash. You can register using the button on this page and then pay at the gate the day of the camp out.
The ideal target age for this event is 5-12 years old (Siblings of campers outside the target range are welcome to join your group). While we will have volunteer staff working the event overnight. We request at least one adult chaperone attend for each 4 overnight campers. If you are a last-minute decision, don't let that stop you from coming, you can register and pay at the gate. The gates will open Friday evening the 19th at 6pm and evening activities will continue until about 10pm. Quiet hours will be 11pm until 6am for those camping overnight.
In order for us to ensure we have enough space, food, drinks and volunteers, we request that you please register in advance using the button below.
FAQ's
What do we need to bring?
Whatever you typically need to camp out overnight! Tent/sleeping bag/air mattress/blankets/pillows. You can pitch your tent in the outfield grass or spread a blanket and pillows out and sleep under the stars! Suggested additional items: Bug spray (We're having the field and woods treated for mosquitos, but, better safe than sorry!), large blanket or beach towels to lay out on in the grass, flashlights/headlamps, folding chairs, battery operated fan, cleaning wipes - especially for those who decide to take a shot at wiffleball on the infield! If you want to bring S'mores supplies, there will be a camp fire!
Will there be power to charge my phone?
There will be a few power plugs available for charging, but these will not be out in the outfield. At night, we will have a few path lights from the field to the bathroom and concession but we highly recommend bringing flashlights, charging cables and adapters.
Do I have to camp out to attend?
Absolutely not! While we'd love for everyone to camp out, if you just want to come for the evening of games & movie, we'd love to have you but we do need you to register. You can pay at the gate day of the camp out.
What are the ages allowed?
This event is geared towards the 5-12 age range primarily. If an older sibling wants to join for the family camp out they are welcome but this is not a campout targeted for teenagers.
What kind of supervision will there be for children?
While ballpark volunteers will be on hand for the duration of the event to manage everything, it is required that your group have at least 1 adult (21+) chaperone.
Will there be food & drink?
A hot dog dinner is included in the registration! Hot dogs, chips, and a soft drink (or tea/water) will be available for every paying attendee. We will also have additional drinks & concession snacks available for purchase. For those that choose to camp out overnight, a pancake breakfast will be offered the following morning for an additional $5, but is not mandatory.
How do we register/pay?
Register on this page by clicking the "Register" button and filling out the forms. You can pay at the gate the day of the event (preferably cash only at the gate, but we do have a square reader available - $1 service charge applies).
Registration is not required, but we would really appreciate it so that can ensure we have enough supplies and staff for the number of campers.
