Deltaville Ballpark hosts baseball, softball, and numerous other events throughout the year, starting in late spring and continuing into the fall.
18+ wood bat baseball, played by predominately current and former college players from across the Middle Peninsula & Northern Neck. The Deltas, the ballpark's original tenant, are one of the oldest continuously operating baseball teams in the state, and feature a Saturday night slate of games all summer long against teams from throughout Virginia.
13-16 year old developmental baseball league spanning more than a half dozen counties, providing competitive baseball throughout the latter half of summer into the fall. As one of two sites that host the leagues games, there's quality baseball action more at the ballpark more nights than not!
For decades, Deltaville Ballpark was one of the home fields for Middlesex youth to play Little League Baseball. In the mid-90's, all Little League activities moved the newly constructed Middlesex Sports Complex. In 2016 we inaugurated a special weekend for all of the county's youth ballplayers to get to experience playing in our iconic ballpark.
Middlesex High School called Deltaville Ballpark home for decades. However, with the ballpark located 20 miles from the high school, a new on-campus ballfield was built at MHS in 2014. Today, we still host special games for not only Middlesex, but other area high schools that wish to get in a game at the ballpark.
With a giant, enclosed field and a grandstand that can seat 300 spectators, the ballpark is a prime location for on-field concerts, as well as other special events and fundraisers. Past events include local bands, rivalry softball games between fire departments - have you ever seen a donkey baseball game? We've hosted several.
Weddings, receptions, dinners, photo shoots - The ballpark has seen it all. Contact us for rates and availability on renting the facility for your event - our rates are very affordable.
As part of this spring's "Plein Air Unleashed'' art event held across Middlesex county, artist Joseph Burrough chose to use Deltaville Ballpark as the setting for one of his oil paintings. Titled, "A Night at The Deltaville Ballpark", the painting received so much interest that, with the help of Allure Art Center, a limited run of 200 fine art giclee prints have been created. The 17"x9.5" artist-signed prints are available for $55, with all proceeds going directly towards ballpark renovations.
